Q. Why should I have my bins cleaned?
There are a number of reasons to have your bins cleaned by our hot water, high pressure mobile unit here are a few of those reasons:
- Dirty stinky bins can be dangerous for anyone with a compromised immune system and can be harmful to children, older adults, pregnant women and family pets. Dirty bins are a perfect breeding ground for disease causing bacteria which multiply at an alarming rate in a dirty bin and can be carried unknowingly from the garbage bin to your kitchen without your knowledge. Clean, disinfected and deodorized bins deal with this problem each time the bin is cleaned.
- Dirty stinky bins are a breeding ground for maggots, attract wasps, flies, rodents, raccoons, bears and other critters. Clean bins deal with these issues.
- Dirty stinky bins smell terrible and are offensive to you, your family and your neighbours. Clean bins smell fresh and great.

Q. How do I sign up?

Q. What happens after I sign up?
After you have signed up on line or with our sales team you will be mailed or hand delivered a Happy Bin Cleaning welcome package. Your package will contain customized Happy Face sticker(s) which you will need to stick to the lid of the bins you want us to CLEAN, DISINFECT and DEODORIZE. These stickers will identify your bins with a unique customer number which will help us know which bins need to be cleaned and how often. Your unique customer number will also help you identify your bins from your neighbours bins. Then we will clean your bins the next time we are in your neighbourhood on a double city garbage and compost pick up day.
Q. Why do I have to sign up for two bins to be cleaned?
It is very important to us that we keep our customer costs as low as possible. In order to maintain our very low pricing we require a minimum commitment of two bins to be cleaned at each home. Most of our customers have been signing up for two bins to be cleaned. We appreciate that some may wish to only have one bin cleaned so once we have more customers living close together we will be able to revisit the idea of washing only one bin per household.
Q. Can I have one bin cleaned monthly and another cleaned weekly or bi-weekly?
Yes you can. You can have different bins on different cleaning schedules. Please just call our sales team (604.642.2342) and we will be happy to arrange that for you.
Q. I live in a condo and we have recycling bins that need to be cleaned can you help us?
Yes we can. Just call us and we will arrange to CLEAN, DISINFECT and DEODORIZE your recycling bins on a schedule that meets your needs.
Q. Why do I need Happy Bin Cleaning when I can do it myself?
The short answer is that we will do a better job and take that terrible job off your hands. We also use far less water and do not put the contaminated water into the storm sewer (so we keep the contaminated water out of our natural waters), we do not leave ugly stains behind and use cleaning products that are more effective and better for the environment. We come rain or shine and are a cost effective method of dealing with a terrible job that no one really wants to do.
Q. How often should I have my bins cleaned?
We recommend every two weeks to stay on top of the smells and bacteria however you can clean them weekly or monthly depending on your own comfort levels.
Q. How much does it cost?
Our prices vary depending on how often you are having your bins cleaned. The more often they are cleaned the cheaper our price.
Q. How is your service better?
At Happy Bin Cleaning our customers always come first! Our customers can rest assured that our state of the art mobile cleaning system is completely self-contained and filters and recycles the water we use so we do not put any contaminated water into local storm drains (so we keep the contaminated water out of our rivers, streams and ocean). We wash your bins with HOT water which is far more effective than cold water washing and all of our products are biodegradable. We also disinfect the inside of your bins and the parts of the bin you regularly touch (the HANDLES and LID) so you can feel safe taking out the trash and moving your bins around. Our rates are HIGHLY competitive and we will always match and beat any competitors that offer the same level of service we offer you. We also reward our customers who refer friends and family to us.
Q. Does someone need to be home while you are washing my bins?
No, all you need to do is leave your bins out until 8:00 pm after your regular garbage collection and we will do the rest. When you come to collect your bins they will be CLEANED, DISINFECTED and DEODORIZED.
Q. Are you a franchise?
No we are not a franchise. We are locally owned and operated Canadian company that is offering franchises to others across Canada who wish to run their own business. We do not answer to foreign companies and all the money earned by our company stays in Canada to support our local economy.
Q. Can I terminate my service at any time?
Absolutely you can terminate your service. At Happy Bin Cleaning you come first if you need to take a break from our services (whatever the reason) you can do so. All we request is that you give us 60 days notice of your intention to terminate our services.
Q. Can I place my services with Happy Bin Cleaning on hold if we are going away for an extended holiday?
Yes you can. Everyone is able to place their services on hold for as long as they need to. All we request is that you give us 30 days notice of your request to hold our services and that you let us know how long you need your services placed on hold.
Q. What if I forget to leave my bin out at the curbside for a cleaning?
Just call us and we will try our best to come and wash your bin as soon as we can. We would just ask that you not put any garbage, compost or recycling in your bin until we are able to come and CLEAN, DISINFECT and DEOTORIZE your bins.
Q. What if I have a problem with your service?
All you need to do is call us if there is a problem and we will fix it to the best of our ability. At Happy Bin Cleaning our customers come first.
